The Community Access Advocacy Team (CAAT) of the Disability Resource Center is a volunteer group of peers advocating for positive social change, the elimination of discriminatory barriers, and the creation of a supportive and fully accessible community environment.
Access in the community encompasses both physical and communication accessibility to buildings and other entities in the community, as well as access to programs and services that enable people with disabilities to live independently in the community.
Through its advocacy and community education, CAAT aims to remove and/or mitigate cultural attitudinal barriers in society preventing people with disabilities from full access to the community.
Join CAAT - to advocate for the creation of a supportive and fully accessible community environment.
